Farm Bureau policyholders can now enjoy more discounts by joining our FREE usage-based insurance program. FB Drives Michigan! rewards drivers with money-saving discounts based on their safe driving. The program also provides personalized feedback helping drivers continue to make safer choices.

How to get started:  

• Contact our agency  

  • You must be a Farm Bureau Insurance auto policy holder 

• Sign-up 

  • Download the FB Drives Michigan! app, login, and complete activation. Drive as usual and confirm your first few trips 

• Drive & Save 

  • The app will measure driving behaviors that make up your individual driving score. At your next renewal, your score will be applied as a discount. 

FB Drives Michigan! will determine your discount based on the following factors:   

• Total miles driven  

• Sudden braking   

• Safe speeds (Under 80 mph)    

• Time of day (limited late-night trips)   

• Distracted driving

1 An immediate auto premium discount of 10% is applied when enrolling in an annual term policy. A 8% auto premium discount is applied for six-month terms. 

FB Drives Michigan! FAQ’s 

• Is there a cost to use the FB Drive Michigan! App?  

  • No, there is no cost to participate. Simply enroll, activate, and drive. 

• Who’s eligible to participate in the FB Drives Michigan! Program?  

  • The FB Drives Michigan! program is an optional program available to any driver on a Farm Bureau Personal Auto policy. Customers with new insurance policies effective May 9, 2021, and existing customers with renewals effective June 28, 2021 are eligible. 

• When can I enroll in FB the Drives Michigan! Program? 

  • You must enroll at the time of new business or renewal (within 30 days of the effective date) by contacting your agent. 

• Can FB Drives Michigan! Increase my auto premium? 

  • No. This is a discount program to reward drivers (not raise your rates) and to help you become more aware and a safer driver. 

• How often is my discount calculated? 

  • The introductory discount is applied to the first six month or annual term. After that, a new score will be applied annually based on your driving metrics.
